The JETAA is a forum for former participants of

the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme.

The JET Programme aims to "promote grassroots internationalization at the local level by inviting young graduates to assist in international exchange and foreign language education in local governments, boards of education and schools throughout Japan."

As the Japan Exchange & Teaching Programme Alumni Association (JETAA) Toronto chapter, our objectives are to provide a network for former participants of the JET Programme via regular social events and the JETAA Toronto newsletter; to support the efforts of the Consulate General of Japan with the promotion, recruitment and preparation of new participants for the JET Programme (this includes the conducting of a comprehensive pre-departure orientation for new participants); and to liaise with other Japan-related organizations in working to build strong ties of friendship between Canada and Japan.
